Map modes

Map Modes are various toggleable modes which will allow the player to view a specific property of a state or country. There are 17 map modes, showing a broad variety of properties, from country opinions to the standard of living in states. An orange-yellow lining marks the borders of countries at war or on opposite sides of a diplomatic play.

List of Map Modes[edit | edit source]

Countries - At Peace[edit | edit source]

Great Britain is shown at peace. Because they are currently uninvolved in any diplomatic play, they do not see the box of for plays over a region.

This map mode is the default option for times of peace. This will show the current map of the world and which state belongs to whom.

Countries - In Conflict[edit | edit source]

From Prussia's perspective, since they are already involved in a play against Austria, they will see the play between France and Belgium

This map mode is the default option for when a country is involved in a diplomatic play or in a war. If you are involved in the play or have in interest in the region, it will show a small box over the region where the play is taking place that shows information about the play.

Country Attitude[edit | edit source]

Attitudes towards Prussia at the start of the game

This map shows the attitude to the player country from other nations. Hovering over a nation will show more information about the attitude.

Cultures Overview[edit | edit source]

This map shows the most populous culture in a state. Hovering over a state will show the population of each culture as well as their political strength.

Global GDP[edit | edit source]

This map shows the gross domestic product of each state. Hovering over a state will show the current annual GDP contribution, the percentage of that state's GDP to the country's GDP, and the top contributing goods to that state's GDP

Infamy[edit | edit source]

This map shows the infamy of the nation. Hovering over a nation will give more information about the amount of Infamy and it's effects.

Literacy[edit | edit source]

This map shows the literacy of Pops in a state. Hovering over a state will show percentage-wise how many Pops are literate.

Loyalists[edit | edit source]

This map shows how many Pops in your states only are loyalists. Hovering over a state will show how many Pops are loyal.

Markets[edit | edit source]

The markets at the start of the game

This map shows each nation and which market they belong to.

Migration[edit | edit source]

Main article: Migration

This map shows the migration attraction of each state. Hovering over a state will show more information.

Military[edit | edit source]

If this nation has an ongoing diplomatic play or war going on, this map will show enemies, allies, and nations who can get involved (have a diplomatic interest in the region).

National GDP[edit | edit source]

This map shows the gross domestic product of your states only, and thus serves exactly like Global GDP

Population[edit | edit source]

The population at the start of the game

This map shows the population of each state. Hovering over a state shows the amount of Pops, their projected growth, migration, Birthrate, Mortality, as well as Unemployed and Peasant Pops.

Radicals[edit | edit source]

This map shows how many Pops in your states only are radicals. Hovering over a state will show how many Pops are radical.

Standard of Living[edit | edit source]

The standard of living in each state at the start of the game

This map shows the standard of living in every state. Hovering over a state displays the standard of living, as well as the minimum expected.

This map shows all the states, with a colour scheme aligning to it's nation.

Strategic Regions[edit | edit source]

This map shows all the strategic regions. Hovering over a region will show who has an interest in it and it's overall GDP
